Packaging Solution for Titanium Dioxide Production in Fine Chemical Industry


Customer Pain Points
Titanium dioxide is highly corrosive and prone to dust generation. The existing semi-automatic packaging line uses an open feeding system, resulting in severe dust dispersion in the workshop. Dust concentration exceeded 30 mg/m³, leading to repeated failures in environmental compliance inspections.
Additionally, dust infiltration into equipment components caused increased wear and tear, resulting in monthly maintenance costs of up to RMB 20,000. Manual packaging also led to a material loss rate of approximately 2.5%, further increasing operational costs.

Dust Control & Technical Solution
A customized fully automatic big bag powder packaging system was implemented, featuring:

  • Vacuum negative pressure feeding system, with filling port pressure controlled at -0.015 to -0.025 MPa, effectively minimizing dust leakage 
  • Pulse-jet dust collector with anti-corrosion coating, designed to withstand the corrosive nature of titanium dioxide and extend equipment lifespan 
  • Automatic heat sealing system, replacing manual sealing to reduce dust escape during packaging 
  • Integrated PLC intelligent control system, enabling real-time monitoring of dust concentration and system performance 

Results & Benefits

  1. Workshop dust concentration reduced to below 8 mg/m³, successfully meeting environmental standards 
  2. Material loss rate decreased to below 0.5%, saving over RMB 800,000 annually 
  3. Equipment core component wear reduced by 50%, lowering monthly maintenance costs to below RMB 5,000
